Hot Tub Hire – Frequently Asked Questions​

How long does it take to set up?

  • The physical setup of the hot tub takes around 20 minutes.

  • Filling with water may take up to 1 hour, depending on your water supply.

  • We can fill with warm or cold water. Warm water helps the tub reach its optimum temperature much faster.

  • If filled with cold water, heating can take 12–28 hours, depending on the hot tub model and outside temperature.

 

Can I use an extension lead?

  • No. All our spas are fitted with an internal RCD (Residual Current Device) for safety.

  • Using an extension lead is not recommended as it may compromise safety.

 

Is there a deposit to be paid?

  • No deposit is required.

  • However, the hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment during the hire period.

 

Do I need to prepare anything before delivery?

  • Please clear a flat space of approximately 7ft x 7ft (2m x 2m).

  • Ensure there is an electric socket within 7m of the hot tub location.

  • A water supply is required. If you have a hose, great – if not, we can provide a backup solution.

 

Is using a hot tub during COVID‑19 safe?

  • Current research indicates COVID‑19 is not transmitted through recreational waters.

  • All our hot tubs are deep cleaned and sanitised after every hire.

 

Access & Requirements

  • If you have a back gate or side entrance, we require a minimum width of 20 inches to transport the hot tub.

  • If access is through the house, standard doorways and minimal obstructions are required.

  • We cannot be held liable for damage if clearance is less than 30 inches.

 

Can I turn the hot tub off?

  • Please do not. Turning it off will cause the water to cool and stop the filtration system.

 

Can the hot tub be used indoors?

  • While possible, we do not recommend indoor use due to moisture, ventilation, and drainage requirements.

 

How do I take care of the hot tub?

  • Avoid introducing mud, leaves, flowers, insects, skin creams, makeup, hair, or body fluids into the water.

  • We strongly recommend showering before use.

  • Food and drink should be kept away from the tub to avoid contamination.

 

Do you add chemicals to the hot tub?

  • Yes. Chlorine granules are added during installation.

  • You will be asked to add a pre‑measured dose of chlorine every 24 hours.

Who can hire a hot tub?

  • Anyone over the age of 18 with suitable space and access.

 

Do I need to do anything for collection?

  • No. We will drain the tub using our pump (approx. 20 minutes).

  • Please note: hot tubs hold a large volume of water, so drainage arrangements are important.

 

How is the water emptied?

  • We use a pump with a 20ft hose to drain the water.

  • Our preferred method is into an available drain.

  • If no drain is available within 20ft, please let us know in advance so we can discuss alternatives.

 

Additional Notes

  • Weather: Hot tubs are weather‑dependent. Severe weather may delay or prevent use.

  • Supervision: Children must be supervised at all times.

  • Safety: Do not use electrical devices near the hot tub.

  • Health: Pregnant women, those with medical conditions, or anyone unsure should consult a doctor before use.

  • Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in or around the hot tub.

  • Alcohol: Please drink responsibly – alcohol and hot tubs can be a risky mix.
